About the role

Purpose of the role 

This is a newly-created role, reporting to the Marketing Manager. You’ll be an integral part of the team and at the heart of driving marketing campaigns across our brands. You’ll be directly responsible for helping to realise the marketing plan. This job is full of variety and you’ll need to be able to turn your hand to a multitude of tasks. You’ll be organised and structured, joining a well established marketing team where you will have the opportunity to develop a varied set of marketing skills in a fast growing organisation.


Responsibilities and duties

You’ll be assisting with creating and distributing of content across various channels. Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

Content creation

  • Engaging content: working with the Content Marketing Executive to generate a steady stream of engaging content, which is in line with the marketing plan and that supports the overall marketing objectives

Digital marketing

  • Content dissemination: helping to disseminate content across various channels
  • Updates: managing content updates across multiple websites, and ensuring that the content is accurate, up-to-date, SEO optimised, formatted, and that it includes appropriate links
  • Landing pages: creating targeted landing pages as part of campaign executions, to enable better results and conversion
  • LinkedIn: maintaining and cultivating our LinkedIn groups to build and nurture prospects
  • Paid search : managing paid search campaigns to drive targeted traffic to web pages
  • Video content : assisting in the planning and scheduling, as well with the filming, editing and distribution of video content, across a number of channels

Email marketing

  • Email campaigns: helping to execute the email campaign plan by drafting emails as required, in conjunction with the Marketing Manager and the Content Marketing Executive

Data and reporting

  • Data maintenance: running targeted campaigns. It’s imperative to have clean and up-to-date data and you will be responsible for keeping your data sets updated, enriched, and synched up
  • Monthly reporting: helping to evaluate the effectiveness of our activities. We have monthly reporting sessions and you will be responsible for preparing and presenting your own monthly stats on your activities and KPIs


  • Awards calendar: maintaining an awards calendar, selecting key awards to enter and coordinating submissions with the help of the Content Marketing Executive’s input on copy

Literature and stationery

  • Swag: managing and monitoring swag and merchandise stock levels. Driving the selection and commissioning process
  • Presentations : maintaining of (pre-)sales and company presentations

Events and hosted networking

  • Preparation : assisting with event preparation and support
  • Speaker calendar : creating and managing a speaker calendar to improve internal visibility


  • Marketing admin: providing general marketing admin assistance, and carrying out ad hoc duties, as required
  • Sales admin: providing administrative support to the Sales Team
  • Marketing processes: complying with marketing standards and following set processes. Assisting with the development of marketing processes over time and contributing ideas for improving marketing standards and processes

About you

Professional and personal characteristics


  • Microsoft Office: proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Google Applications: familiar with Google Docs and Google Spreadsheets
  • Social media: proficient in managing social media channels
  • Adobe products and video: a basic understanding and knowledge of Adobe products, video editing, would be beneficial
  • SEO: experience of SEO & paid search would be beneficial, but is not mandatory


  • Communication skills : the ability to communicate in a clear, concise and appropriate manner, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients, and third parties
  • Eye for detail: excellent attention to detail
  • Organisational skills: a methodological approach, you’ll be meticulous and diligent, with solid planning skills
  • Multitasking: the ability to work on multiple projects with different deadlines, at the same time, and to prioritise your workload
  • Integrity: an awareness of the need for confidentiality, especially when dealing with sensitive information
  • Team work: the ability to work as part of a team, and to liaise with people from all levels of the organisation

Qualifications and experience

Previous experience in Marketing is required, preferably in the B2B and/or IT sector. Having a degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing (or being CIM certified), is desirable.
