• Supporting the release of 85,000 films on YouTube
  • Restoring stability to one of the world’s oldest media companies
  • Removing bottlenecks and stagnant code to boost site speed

The challenge

In 2013, British Pathé made the decision to publish its entire portfolio to YouTube which would attract considerable traffic to its site. However, its site was temperamental and prone to downtime.

Our solution

An extensive project to stabilise the site from the ground up was launched. From server to software, the Inviqa team revitalised the entire site including changing its server structure and deployment methodologies.

The result

In 2014, British Pathé released its entire archive to YouTube to a great reception. Since the revised architecture was launched, Britishpathe.com has experienced zero downtime. Removing bottlenecks and stagnant code has boosted the speed of the site, which now delivers its video content rapidly.
