American company Interflora was established in 1910 when two florists in different states realised the ease with which long-distance orders could be completed by telegraph across the country. Since then, the business has blossomed steadily, delivering beautiful bouquets globally.
Interflora turned to us when it decided to launch a website in the Republic of Ireland. The requirements were complex. The system needed to be:
- Flexible and customisable
- Incorporate numerous locations in an order management process
- Integrate seamlessly within the existing UK internal infrastructure.
Our solution was a customised Magento platform. We tightly integrated to Interflora's existing infrastructure including its centralised order management system. This allowed us to incorporate standard parameters, like availability and requested delivery date, with more complex considerations, like the delivery radius of the chosen florist.
Our tailored, cost-effective platform enabled a successful launch of Interflora in the Republic of Ireland.
